Our Stories

Annual Tournament

On August 19, 2024, Wezesha Women And Youth Initiative (WWAYI) brought together over 500 community members for a lively youth football tournament and dance competition. This day was about more than just fun and games—it was an opportunity to spotlight reproductive health, mental well-being, and healthy relationships.

Between spirited football matches and dazzling dance performances, WWAYI staff and volunteers shared vital insights and encouraged open discussions while offering key resources. By day’s end, the event had left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.

Dozens of young people returned home with newfound knowledge, practical tips for managing stress, and supportive connections. Nineteen young moms came forward for educational support—leading to seven school re-entries and five vocational enrollments (hairdressing, catering, and tailoring). Their excitement for a brighter future perfectly captured the spirit of the day, reinforcing that sports and the arts can spark meaningful change.

#HopeForTippetgirls

Our Mission

Join WWAYI in our #HopeForTippetgirls campaign, an initiative dedicated to raising $50,000 to support Tippet Girls Secondary School in West Pokot County.

We aim to transform the school by improving infrastructure, providing hygiene kits, food, clean water, and essential learning materials. Our vision includes building secure dormitories, supplying proper bedding, installing reliable solar power for night studies, and creating recreational spaces for co-curricular activities.

Why Support #HopeForTippet?

“No girl should have to risk her life for water, sleep on a cold floor, or face barriers to education. Together, we can change this.”

Your donation will directly impact the lives of these students by enhancing their safety, dignity, and access to education.
